Not at all. It seems really convenient, though! Once I know how to use it I'm sure it'll be useful. It won't help with tree impersonations, but it should tell me what's going on.

[ Rin manages to not kill someone her first day here, and that's the good news. Reyson's not able to hover so he doesn't get knocked out of the air, but he's still weak to projectiles, apparently. It gets him right in the gut and he collapses in a swirl of while robes and feathers. ]

Well, at least we're prepared for any worst case scenarios.

[it's hard not to be a little hesitant after. . . what, a couple of months from Akira's perspective? of not seeing each other. they say absence makes the heart grow fonder, but it's tough to hold onto something that you're thoroughly convinced you'll never have again, just as they were when they parted ways in that control room so long ago. Akira isn't one to pine, but the memories of the school and the murders and Ichigo still stand out starkly in his brain. he needed more than just a few months to "get over" any feelings those memories might still evoke]

[but that hesitancy-- that uncertainty that perhaps Ichigo had already moved on-- melts almost immediately as Ichigo closes the distance between them, pulls him close. there's laughter on the tip of his tongue as he leans into that warmth, one arm already snaking around Ichigo's shoulders so he can bury his fingers into his hair]

[still feels, still smells, still sounds like the same old Ichigo]

[god, he missed this, too. more than he ever allowed himself to say]

Who knew we were due for a reunion special so soon?
