Alright, kiddos!! Gather up in the cafeteria for your first event!

[ The cafeteria tables are arranged differently now, long tables pushed to the edges of the room and filled with finger foods and drinks, and the center of the room open except for a bunch of tall, small round tables which are empty except for a stack of cards, but about the right size and height for two people to put drinks on as they stand around.

Vanilla is also standing on one of the tables with a bullhorn. ]

We're starting with a classic! Speed dating! You'll have five minutes each round! When the horn goes off, that's your cue to switch it up and talk to someone else! If you need some conversation starters, try one of the questions on those cards!

...Or don't! You can do whatever you want, I'm not your mom. I'm going with 'uncle' for now!

( The structure here is pretty casual:
- Make a top level
- Tag some people! Optionally, start off with a question from the deck of suggestions!
- Thread! You can ask more questions if you want.

I already changed a lot, recently, and I'm still adjusting. Changing again probably wouldn't be a good thing.

By now I'm sure you've heard about the raccoons from the previous round. When we eventually found them, they turned out to be actual, literal raccoons who were hooked up to a machine. Presumably, it enhanced their intelligence and projected their consciousnesses into similar robots to the ones the chinchillas are now operating. Obviously, there's no way they could have put themselves in that situation, and I very much doubt that running complex, multi-dimensional psychological experiments is a priority of small creatures. There is some external force at play here.

I'm a detective. Originally I worked for the police, but recently my partner and I decided to open up our own private business.

It was a game like this... except everyone was made to kill each other to win. Some of the people here were part of it.

[Akira balls his hands into fists, angry and upset for them.]

...Just kidding! Actually, a prominent politician confessed to everything. Nobody ever figured out how he did it, but he was using some kind of psychic power to wipe out his rivals. But wouldn't that have been an exciting plot twist?

Yeah. I don't always agree with him... but he's still my best friend. [Then he smiles warmly at Komaeda.]

Maybe this is weird to offer when we don't know each other, but if you need anyone... like a friend... I'll be around.

[When Rin suddenly pushes forward Akira gives way only slightly, and despite the momentum apparently being against him, he suddenly gives a vicious grin. He has the opening he needs, no longer holding back as he pulls back with all his effort to slam Rin's hand into the table.

Dark roast espresso blends, but particularly Mocha Java. It has bit of a spicy kick to it, balanced with a hint of sweetness.

Well, for starters, I live in the cafe's attic, so all I have to do to go to work is climb down the stairs and put on an apron.
