Alright, kiddos!! Gather up in the cafeteria for your first event!

[ The cafeteria tables are arranged differently now, long tables pushed to the edges of the room and filled with finger foods and drinks, and the center of the room open except for a bunch of tall, small round tables which are empty except for a stack of cards, but about the right size and height for two people to put drinks on as they stand around.

Vanilla is also standing on one of the tables with a bullhorn. ]

We're starting with a classic! Speed dating! You'll have five minutes each round! When the horn goes off, that's your cue to switch it up and talk to someone else! If you need some conversation starters, try one of the questions on those cards!

...Or don't! You can do whatever you want, I'm not your mom. I'm going with 'uncle' for now!

( The structure here is pretty casual:
- Make a top level
- Tag some people! Optionally, start off with a question from the deck of suggestions!
- Thread! You can ask more questions if you want.
- Try to keep threads around 10 comments from you maximum. This isn’t a hard limit, but assume a bullhorn goes off around there to signal a switch.

[ She almost gets war flashbacks to someone that she finds rather disagreeable.

I've been studying since I was young, so for several years, I guess. What about you?

That's right. I mean, for example... if I suddenly grabbed someone's arm, sometimes that person would be flustered, right? I like seeing that sort of thing.

Ah, one could say that my career is already laid out for me. I am a priest, and a missionary.

Though I could not say what my favorite animal is, as God's creatures are all equally deserving of love, I have a particular fondness for doves.

[Hinata knows there's things Tsumiki is saying that he should be paying attention to. Things he should be responding to, but he's just... stuck on that first bit.

Did she mean... us, as in everybody, or... Me and her...

He swallows hard, able to feel the heat on his face. That's probably Bad.]

I still think I'd be a pretty boring date... [He trails off with nervous laughter. Hinata knows he's doing a bad job of covering up his flustered feelings when it's plastered all over his face, but he's gotta try his best.] And it's- definitely hard to get to know everybody in such a short time, ha...

[A short breath. Just a pause to get himself in order, because... In spite of how much of a jumbled mess he feels like right this moment, he's really happy about what he's about to say.]

But... I'm really glad you got to talk with everyone about things you like. It figures you'd be able to turn questions like those into important things. [He nods, feeling a little bit more at ease as he says it. He has a lot of beef with this place, but it doesn't feel quite as bad if Tsumiki can relax a little with the people here.] And... I knew it. I knew that if you talked with everybody, they'd see how great you are.

[The nerves come back, just a bit. Something squirms in his stomach at the thought of asking - something that Hinata doesn't really want to acknowledge - but he knows it's the right thing to do as a friend.]

...How about you, though? Is there anybody that... you'd like to date here?

Yeah, I'm sure. I don't travel too much, but I'm not all that picky, either. Besides, I think hearing another person's suggestions is a good way to get to know what kind of person they are based on the material.

I mean, I'd like to say I'm pretty well read myself, but there's always a book or two that I haven't read yet, you know? Like most of the stuff I have in my library are books that deal with myths. [ And also magecraft, but she won't say that. ]

Thinking that way is... really admirable. The way you care about your country and your people - that's really admirable. [Yet, even as he says it, there's a sadness in his voice.] But... Isn't there anything you'd like to have for yourself? Even something small?

Ain't exactly romantic, no. And I guess these guys haven't done nothin' against us just yet.

What do I want to talk about? ...Motorcycles, if I'm perfectly honest.

Studied a little of a lot of things; karate, judo, kendo, boxing. Never got too deep into any of 'em, though... I like a free fight more than I like practicin' forms or stickin' to styles, and masters never seemed too keen on that. 'Course, you're liable to get jumped by anyone after school, so bein' more of a jack-of-all-trades has worked out.

So, what d'you do when you're not preppin' for emergencies or rescuin' damsels?

Reading and gardening must be an interesting combination for a job. [He's a little bit curious about what kind of job would require both of those things, but...] As for me... Any good story is enough to draw me in, but I lean towards mystery or things with action, I guess. [He laughs a little bit sheepishly with the next thing he admits.] Maybe a romance every once in a while, too.

I feel much the same way about myself. I have experienced a great change recently, as well, and even though I am still very much a flawed individual, I know what sort of person I am. That knowledge gives me strength.
