Alright, kiddos!! Gather up in the cafeteria for your first event!

[ The cafeteria tables are arranged differently now, long tables pushed to the edges of the room and filled with finger foods and drinks, and the center of the room open except for a bunch of tall, small round tables which are empty except for a stack of cards, but about the right size and height for two people to put drinks on as they stand around.

Vanilla is also standing on one of the tables with a bullhorn. ]

We're starting with a classic! Speed dating! You'll have five minutes each round! When the horn goes off, that's your cue to switch it up and talk to someone else! If you need some conversation starters, try one of the questions on those cards!

...Or don't! You can do whatever you want, I'm not your mom. I'm going with 'uncle' for now!

( The structure here is pretty casual:

...You mean like here? Right now I'm trying to get a better understanding of the situation before I do anything like swing a sword around, since there doesn't seem to be any immediate danger.

Otherwise... I'd do what I could, but I also rely on my friends. We have experience with rescues, and a smart strategist.

Actually, if you don't mind humoring me, why don't you tell me about the previous game you were in?

What can I say? I'm fairly simple.

[Hinata pauses for a minute before he breathes out hard through his nose.] Alright, fine. I don't get this, but... fine.

[If he just keeps telling everybody what he knows to be the truth, then surely this weirdness will stop. Or something.]

You were... the first person I saw when I woke up. You went around with me and introduced me to everybody, and helped make sense of a situation that was confusing. We don't get to do our work together mostly, because I'm usually out gathering materials and you stay behind to clean with some of the others. But we hang out a lot when there's free time afterwards.

[I think I've... spent more time with you and Tsumiki than anybody else, actually, is what he doesn't say aloud.]

We've hung out in almost every place in the islands. You like doing safer things and are always nervous about something bad happening or your luck, so I never suggest anything dangerous. But we're always able to relax and have a lot of fun talking together. At least- [He colors a bit.] I... have a lot of fun with you.

[Screw it. While he's here and all.]

Komaeda, you're... a friend that puts me at ease when I'm worried. That I have a lot of fun with and enjoy being around.

Some people have to be, I guess.

[ a smile, then he draws another card ]

I suspect Ranulf thinks that of everyone. He may be right.

[ Identical affronted bullhorn glares. Reyson may not be a physically intimidating specimen but he can glare with the best of them. ]
