[ Maybe you were going about your business and blacked out, maybe you were dead. Either way, when you come to, you are in what looks like the entrance hall to a school, except for the very well secured front door. Before you can really get your bearings, a voice rings out on an the intercom. ]

Welcome, kiddos! —How does that sound? 'Kiddos'? Too daddy kink? Eh, let's go with it for now. Anyway, welcome to a once-in-a-lifetime chance at romance and passion, with fabulous prizes! Find love beyond the boundaries of time and space! Original concept, do not steal.

Pick up your tablets and get settled in! A little later today, we'll have our first heart-pounding get-to-know-you event!

—Oh, also, no violence allowed! I know some of you kids are into the murder thing, but that's not the kind of game we're running here.

[ In fact, there are several boxes of electronic tablets around the room. When you pick one up, it displays the gameplay and rules.]

[okay, he's looking for that level of help. he takes the tablet and holds it for him to see]

If you press this button, it turns on... and then you work it by touching the screen.

[he brings up the rules]

[seems like zen got stuck looking at Shirayuki's profile and couldn't figure out how back out, watching Shuichi's hands and the screen closely]

Oh, I see it now. Could you show me how to find something else? It doesn't matter what.

[Shuichi flips to the game outline, and then back to profiles, and skims to open up his own profile]

Ah, I'm back to 'Ultimate Detective' this time.

Those mean something? The titles?

...Yes and no. They're usually at least... relevant... but they're varying degrees of actually meaningful...

[he closes his profile and goes back to the game info, more slowly]

[a beat, then navigating back to profiles, finding Shuichi's]

So, you are a detective . . . ? Or not?

Ah, I am... in a sense. I never held the job officially, but I've... done a lot of that sort of work.

Do you want to become an official detective?

[caught in trying to figure out navigation but getting back to the profiles, checking Obi's then his own]

Mm, I'm working on it. I've been working on starting a private detective agency, with my... partner.

[glancing up to check Shuichi's expression but going back to the tablet without any change in his own expression]

If you're opening up a shop, then that sounds rather official. Congratulations.

Ah, thank you. There's still a lot of work to be done before it's successful, but I'm... happy about it.
