Trash Squad Day 1 - GAME START

[ Maybe you were going about your business and blacked out, maybe you were dead. Either way, when you come to, you are in what looks like the entrance hall to a school, except for the very well secured front door. Before you can really get your bearings, a voice rings out on an the intercom. ]

Welcome, kiddos! —How does that sound? 'Kiddos'? Too daddy kink? Eh, let's go with it for now. Anyway, welcome to a once-in-a-lifetime chance at romance and passion, with fabulous prizes! Find love beyond the boundaries of time and space! Original concept, do not steal.

Pick up your tablets and get settled in! A little later today, we'll have our first heart-pounding get-to-know-you event!

—Oh, also, no violence allowed! I know some of you kids are into the murder thing, but that's not the kind of game we're running here.

[ In fact, there are several boxes of electronic tablets around the room. When you pick one up, it displays the gameplay and rules.]

[ Watching as he goes through his range of emotions. ]

[just. makes a face, expression contorted into so many irritated emotions it's hard to pick out just one]

They've listed me under another name. Ah. . .

[ Komaeda blinks down, looking for the name, then smiles. ]

[it isn't inaccurate but not really accurate, either?? just saying]

[ looking at him again, more searching ]

[ he backs up again suddenly and smiles pleasantly ]

[he'd say "just Akira is fine," but considering there is, apparently, another one here. . .]

Thank you, though to be honest, my real title is Ultimate Lucky Student. Sort of meaningless, I know. I'm not sure how these rosters got everything so confused. Only some of them seem to be correct.

In my experience, these people don't exactly aim for accuracy.

Apparently not. Though to have experience, does that mean you've survived a previous game?

If you consider this round two, I participated in round one.

I do, but because I just came from what I would call round 1. It seems we have some discrepancy.

Can you answer a question for me, then?

Do you know a Shuichi Saihara or a Maki Harukawa?

[hopegloats]

[ shakes his head ]

[so. . . a different game than the one Shuichi and Maki were in? HOW MANY FUCKING KILLING GAMES EXIST IN THE UNIVERSE]

Those two were in round one with me. But even before that, they had already survived a previous game.

Haaaaah... and all these game were filled with Ultimate students as well?

[purrtagonist]

[his expression hardens a bit, but he nods]

From what I understand, they were.

Interesting. Very interesting. And now, after all of that, they just want us to find romance? I wonder if that can possibly be the entire purpose.
