Trash Squad Day 1 - GAME START

[ Maybe you were going about your business and blacked out, maybe you were dead. Either way, when you come to, you are in what looks like the entrance hall to a school, except for the very well secured front door. Before you can really get your bearings, a voice rings out on an the intercom. ]

Welcome, kiddos! —How does that sound? 'Kiddos'? Too daddy kink? Eh, let's go with it for now. Anyway, welcome to a once-in-a-lifetime chance at romance and passion, with fabulous prizes! Find love beyond the boundaries of time and space! Original concept, do not steal.

Pick up your tablets and get settled in! A little later today, we'll have our first heart-pounding get-to-know-you event!

—Oh, also, no violence allowed! I know some of you kids are into the murder thing, but that's not the kind of game we're running here.

[ In fact, there are several boxes of electronic tablets around the room. When you pick one up, it displays the gameplay and rules.]

[but nevertheless Akira kind of. . . stands at the entrance awkwardly for a moment, before he shakes his head, steps forward, and runs a palm across some of the glass]

They must have patched the glass. There were holes in the aquarium the last time I checked.

[looks HORRIFIED at the idea]

They let these beautiful creatures live under such dangerous conditions??

It isn't surprising, considering the conditions in which the game participants lived.

[annnnd he pulls away]

Whoever built this place, orchestrated this game, has very little regard for life itself.

[his mouth twists, and eyes narrow]

How despicable.

[purrtagonist]

Yeah. They're completely twisted, all the way from the inside, out.

[he closes his eyes for a moment, brows furrowed]

I want to rip their hearts right out from their chests.

[yusuke may not be very good at reading people, but even he can hear the undercurrent of fury in akira's voice. he takes a step towards him and puts his hand on akira's shoulder]

[purrtagonist]

[the hand on his shoulder grounds him, helps some of the tension seep out of his back. his gaze flickers up, meeting Yusuke's, studying him for a moment as his angered expression softens]

[thanks, friend. his smile is both apologetic and grateful all in one]

This school has an art room on the second floor. Why don't we go straight there?

[yusuke wants revenge too, for akira's sake, but he doesn't want that anger to consume someone so dear to him. he lets his hand drop]

Please lead the way. If there are any supplies, we can steal them.

I was thinking of redecorating the entrance hall, at the very least... perhaps a Phantom Thieves mural?

[paint, brushes, palette, sketchbooks, charcoal. it is all going in yusuke's room]

Now that seems more like it. But why limit it to the entrance hall?

[wtf why didn't he think to commit crimes of graffiti the last time he was here]

[because you are not an ARTIST. yusuke finds some paint cans with a look that can only be described as triumphant]

I am open to suggestions.

[meanwhile? Akira's grabbing the brushes, twirling one around in his hand like he's handling a dagger in the midst of a fight]

The auditorium could use a bit of a makeover, if you ask me. There's a morgue, a library, a gym. . . hey, isn't the sky the limit?

[he chuckles]

As you say. And there is plenty to work with, here.

[he opens up a sketchbook and starts quickly sketching out the PT logo, and other designs]

[totally coming up behind him to watch as he works! you're so good, art friend]

[yusuke is working quickly; the outline is hazy at first but it soon comes together, a mix of shapes and figures that may seem familiar]

What do you think of leaving our mark on this place, perhaps as a message to future inhabitants?

[it's rough, but clearly it's meant to be a mural of all the Phantom Thieves' awakened Personas looking foreboding and wild, poised to breath magic down on whoever looks at the image--Anat and Hecate at the forefront, flanked by Mercurius, Kamu Susano-o, and Seiten Taisei, Prometheus and Astarte hovering above them. Satanael stands proudly in the background behind them, dominating the image]

... hmm. I cannot decide whether to put Loki or Robin Hood in here.

I think that's the best idea I've heard yet.

[his smile softens, growing fond-- proud, even-- as those shapes take place. and when Yusuke asks that question, he thinks back to his conversation with Akechi]

Loki came first, you know? Robin Hood. . .

I think that was from us.

[he works on sketching him in alongside Mercurius and Seiten Taisei]

It can be a message of hope to anyone who is brought here unwillingly--and a warning to those who would toy with peoples' lives.

Exactly. Ah, will you help me carry these? I think we should start with the entrance hall, and then move to the gymnasium. I would like to paint over the curtains in the auditorium, but they would need to be removed first, and the process will take some time... so that will require a second outing, most likely.

[he nods, then reaches out to help Yusuke with the paint and such]
