[ Maybe you were going about your business and blacked out, maybe you were dead. Either way, when you come to, you are in what looks like the entrance hall to a school, except for the very well secured front door. Before you can really get your bearings, a voice rings out on an the intercom. ]

Welcome, kiddos! —How does that sound? 'Kiddos'? Too daddy kink? Eh, let's go with it for now. Anyway, welcome to a once-in-a-lifetime chance at romance and passion, with fabulous prizes! Find love beyond the boundaries of time and space! Original concept, do not steal.

Pick up your tablets and get settled in! A little later today, we'll have our first heart-pounding get-to-know-you event!

—Oh, also, no violence allowed! I know some of you kids are into the murder thing, but that's not the kind of game we're running here.

[ In fact, there are several boxes of electronic tablets around the room. When you pick one up, it displays the gameplay and rules.]

It's a slow but steady progress, but I do feel like I'm learning a lot. The time passes quickly when you keep yourself busy, you know?

Yeah, I know. Izana is keeping me busy, so I haven't had much time to think about how long it's been.

For whatever reason we're here, it's good to see you again.

...It's good to see you too. The circumstances are less than ideal, but if we're looking on the positive side then it's better than it could be otherwise.

[stopping in their walk, holding his hand out]

Could I borrow your hand? Just for a few seconds.

Certainly.

[she offers him her hand, plain and simple]

[taking it and rubbing her knuckles for a beat before leaning closer to kiss her cheek]

It really is great to see you. I'm so happy.

[appleofhiseye]

[it wasn't completely unexpected, but it still makes her fluster]

I—I feel the same way. Being here is...strange and frustrating, but I don't feel that worried about it. Because I get to see you.

[she gives his hand a small squeeze]

[touching his cheeks (and partially covering his mouth) with his hand, oh, before covering her hand that he's holding and carefully letting go]

You're right. That's why I wasn't feeling too bothered. Between the three of us, we can figure it out.

Of course!

[she smile is a little rueful, though, half-amused at their optimism despite the situation. being with the people you care about really can make all the difference.]

Speaking of that, though, have you read the rules? They're a little...Well, not what I expected.

[starinhereye]

Ah, yeah, I have. At least, they don't have a way of measuring actual interest in a person, I think. Are you going to have any trouble with this?

I didn't really have any intention to play along. But if it's just talking to people, I don't have any problem with that.

[starinhereye]

Think of it as a unique way to make friends. That's what I'm doing.

Besides, you can count on spending time with Obi and me for two of those.

[obi's going to be very upset that zen didn't ask her out on a date in a cute way x2]

Are you going on a date with Obi too?

I hadn't thought of it. But I could. Do you want me to?

It's only fair, right? I've seen him more often than you have lately, after all. It will give you time to catch up in person.

I feel like he's just going to use it as a chance to pick on me . . . But you're right. It would be two birds with one stone.

...Well, it's still a good chance to catch up, and it would help you both avoid any trouble.

More him than me, though. I can see where he would go off the rails during one of these "dates".

But it's fun seeing him so energetic.

Not rude. Honestly, it would be like you to make sure everyone else is enjoying themselves and not feel the same yourself.
