Alright, kiddos!! Gather up in the cafeteria for your first event!

[ The cafeteria tables are arranged differently now, long tables pushed to the edges of the room and filled with finger foods and drinks, and the center of the room open except for a bunch of tall, small round tables which are empty except for a stack of cards, but about the right size and height for two people to put drinks on as they stand around.

Vanilla is also standing on one of the tables with a bullhorn. ]

We're starting with a classic! Speed dating! You'll have five minutes each round! When the horn goes off, that's your cue to switch it up and talk to someone else! If you need some conversation starters, try one of the questions on those cards!

...Or don't! You can do whatever you want, I'm not your mom. I'm going with 'uncle' for now!

( The structure here is pretty casual:

- Thread! You can ask more questions if you want.

Yes, certainly. Poisons and other ailments, as well as prescribing the proper treatment depending on what the problem is. I don't exactly have a stock of antidotes on hand here, but there must be some kind of medical facility in here if needed.

I see. Pardon my asking, but are you particularly interested in this game? Finding a lover, and such?

[appleofhiseye]

No! I already—uhm—there's someone I already—

[waves her hands a little. takes a deep breath.]

I don't mind playing along a little if it makes things go by faster, but there's already someone that I want to spend the rest of my life with. I only meant to get to know everyone a little better while we're stuck in the same situation together. I apologize if I gave you an incorrect impression of my intentions.

Please don't worry, it was only a question of curiosity. I myself am sworn to celibacy, so this sort of game in the first place is against my interests. . . I am approaching this game the same way that you are.

That's a relief. I was...unsure if I would be the only one not interested in creating a romantic setting out of this situation. It's sort of embarrassing to think about.

[after letting her poor heart calm down, she offers him her hand]

Although it's a bit late for proper introductions, I'm Shirayuki. Thank you for putting me at ease, even just a little.

The pleasure is all mine! If you don't mind, would you tell me a little bit about your work? I don't know much about what being a priest entails, but it must be worthwhile if you're so dedicated to it.

Ah - for myself, while I am a priest, I am specifically a missionary. In other words, I travel to many countries and help those who are in need, while also spreading the word of Christ, and reinforcing that faith in those who believe.

Often, my work has to do with taking care of children and giving hope to people in trying times. There are still many countries that do not accept Christianity as a legitimate faith - and so, it can be dangerous for those who practice such a religion. Therefore, I travel to those people to give them as much support as I can, in any way that I can.

I am sure that, as a pharmacist you can understand - being able to help those around you, those who are hurting, is a worthwhile reward in and of itself.

Certainly. But while I've traveled around the country, I can't say that my work has taken me around the world. I can only dream of meeting so many people in that way. It must be what you would call a once in a lifetime experience, to do what you do.

I hope you've taken some time for yourself too in all of that. I know how easy it can be to get wrapped up in your work too.

A...forced vacation still counts as a vacation, I suppose. Vacations are supposed to be relaxing, though, and this situation hasn't been quite as refreshing as a vacation ought to be.
