Alright, kiddos!! Gather up in the cafeteria for your first event!

[ The cafeteria tables are arranged differently now, long tables pushed to the edges of the room and filled with finger foods and drinks, and the center of the room open except for a bunch of tall, small round tables which are empty except for a stack of cards, but about the right size and height for two people to put drinks on as they stand around.

Vanilla is also standing on one of the tables with a bullhorn. ]

We're starting with a classic! Speed dating! You'll have five minutes each round! When the horn goes off, that's your cue to switch it up and talk to someone else! If you need some conversation starters, try one of the questions on those cards!

...Or don't! You can do whatever you want, I'm not your mom. I'm going with 'uncle' for now!

( The structure here is pretty casual:
- Make a top level
- Tag some people! Optionally, start off with a question from the deck of suggestions!
- Thread! You can ask more questions if you want.
- Try to keep threads around 10 comments from you maximum. This isn’t a hard limit, but assume a bullhorn goes off around there to signal a switch.

W-when doing blood transfusions, it's really important to know! Your immune system will detect any foreign proteins on the red blood cells of the wrong blood type and attempt to destroy them if you get the wrong type. Th-thankfully it's not usually deadly, unless the immune system doesn't wait for the foreign red blood cells to clear the blood vessels before it splits them apart. That's when you can end up getting an acute hemolytic transfusion reaction where the blood clots inside the veins.

[Despite herself, she seems proud of this and smiles] So if you're ever sick or injured or anything, I'll definitely be able to help! I-I'm not very reliable or anything like that, b-but I can at least do that much!

[She fidgets, shaking her head shyly. No, totally not!! She could probably go on forever listing everything bad about herself, but she refrains. For now.]

You're really too kind... Oh! I-I never asked for your name! I'm Tsumiki Mikan! [pause] Y-you never asked for my name either, s-so I'm sorry for assuming you wanted it... You don't have to remember it! [Now that she's not talking about medical things, her confidence is crashing and burning sorry akira]

[Mikan hesitates a moment, looking like she's struggling between being polite and calling him 'Kurusu-san' and following his wishes.]

A-Akira-san? [IS THAT...A GOOD COMPROMISE? FOR NOW??]

Y-yes! [She looks so happy?? She looks about to say more when the horn goes off, causing her to jump with a yelp of alarm. She looks around, bewidlered,then seems to realize it means it's time to move on.

She looks very disappointed about this] I-I spent the whole time t-talking about blood transfusions and d-didn't learn anything about you at all... I-I'm sorry....

[jumps at the sound of the horn as well, man that was fast]

Hey-- it's fine. Don't worry about it, all right?

I, um. [She closes her eyes tightly because if she doesn't look at him it'll make it easier!!] I'd be really happy if we talked again! Th-thank you!

[MIKAN?????]

[just. flashes her a smile, despite the fact that her eyes are closed]

It isn't too forward. I'd be pretty happy if we talked again, too.

But you'd better head off before you get in trouble for lingering.
