Trash Squad Day 1 - SPEED DATING
Alright, kiddos!! Gather up in the cafeteria for your first event!
[ The cafeteria tables are arranged differently now, long tables pushed to the edges of the room and filled with finger foods and drinks, and the center of the room open except for a bunch of tall, small round tables which are empty except for a stack of cards, but about the right size and height for two people to put drinks on as they stand around.
Vanilla is also standing on one of the tables with a bullhorn. ]
We're starting with a classic! Speed dating! You'll have five minutes each round! When the horn goes off, that's your cue to switch it up and talk to someone else! If you need some conversation starters, try one of the questions on those cards!
...Or don't! You can do whatever you want, I'm not your mom. I'm going with 'uncle' for now!
( The structure here is pretty casual:
- Make a top level
- Tag some people! Optionally, start off with a question from the deck of suggestions!
- Thread! You can ask more questions if you want.
- Try to keep threads around 10 comments from you maximum. This isn’t a hard limit, but assume a bullhorn goes off around there to signal a switch.
- Pace yourself, kids, this runs until Thursday. )

Hah, sounds like you've got interest to spare! Never seen you so worked up before, Yuri. Makes me feel like I need to step up and find some good reads, too! You think there's anything worth checkin' out in the library here?

[And, another blush.]
Y-Yes! If you'd like, I think we could... m-maybe we could even read together...? And discuss it... later... if you like...

A-And if you um... want to show me anything, I'll try to be passionate... too?
no subject
Ah... Okay. Didn't know there was gonna be homework. Any suggestions on just what you'd, uh, like to be shown?

I just thought... it'd be more fair if it was... a two-sided th-thing? If I tried something I usually wouldn't try, too...
N-No pressure to come up with anything...

--Uh, just to check. For this 'presentation,' you mean somethin' written...right?

O-Oh, are we not... talking about the same thing...?

[pause]
A-Although, if you want to try something like write poems and then share them... we could do that.
B-But it's rather personal to show a person something you've written, so I'll understand if you'd rather not.

[she stretches the word out, considering this, before squaring her shoulders, decided]
Why not both? I ain't afraid to show stuff to you, whether it's mine or not.

[Shyly blushes too.]
I'll... show you my confidence... with the pen.

[and she smiles, genuine...and the bullhorn starts to blare]
...Ah, and looks like that’s time. Guess I’ll be seein’ you soon.
