Trash Squad Day 1 - SPEED DATING

Alright, kiddos!! Gather up in the cafeteria for your first event!

[ The cafeteria tables are arranged differently now, long tables pushed to the edges of the room and filled with finger foods and drinks, and the center of the room open except for a bunch of tall, small round tables which are empty except for a stack of cards, but about the right size and height for two people to put drinks on as they stand around.

Vanilla is also standing on one of the tables with a bullhorn. ]

We're starting with a classic! Speed dating! You'll have five minutes each round! When the horn goes off, that's your cue to switch it up and talk to someone else! If you need some conversation starters, try one of the questions on those cards!

...Or don't! You can do whatever you want, I'm not your mom. I'm going with 'uncle' for now!

( The structure here is pretty casual:
- Make a top level
- Tag some people! Optionally, start off with a question from the deck of suggestions!
- Thread! You can ask more questions if you want.
- Try to keep threads around 10 comments from you maximum. This isn’t a hard limit, but assume a bullhorn goes off around there to signal a switch.
- Pace yourself, kids, this runs until Thursday. )

[Hinata shoots her a smile, instantly relieved.] Yeah, that sounds a lot better than answering any of these.

For me... [He tilts his head to the side, trying to think if there's anything he could say that's more interesting... But knows he has to resolve himself to just normal sounding things.] I guess playing games and reading, if it's something interesting to me? And spending time with my friends too. What about you?

[they might be normal things, but she looks a little relieved. normal isn't so bad, especially not in a place like this.]

Reading and gardening, if I had to pick. I do both for my job, so I need to be able to enjoy them or it would get boring very quickly. What kind of books do you find interesting?

Reading and gardening must be an interesting combination for a job. [He's a little bit curious about what kind of job would require both of those things, but...] As for me... Any good story is enough to draw me in, but I lean towards mystery or things with action, I guess. [He laughs a little bit sheepishly with the next thing he admits.] Maybe a romance every once in a while, too.

Some romance novels can have mystery and action too! I haven't read too many of them, myself, but most of those don't need to be mutually exclusive even if they're separated into different genres. Though, just those three topics alone gives to plenty to read, I would say.
