[ Today the cafeteria looks different again, most of the tables cleared out and the space full of pillows, blankets, and love sacs of various sizes. Around the time everyone gets there, Vanilla pops up in the front of the room.. ]

Do you know what one of the most important things in a relationship is? Honesty! Do you know what some others are? Trust! Self-confidence! Communication! A sense of adventure! Sexual compatibility!

...What was I talking about? Oh, right! Today's event is truth or dare! You know how it works! Find someone and ask them if they want a truth or a dare! If they pick truth, ask them any question and they have to tell the truth. If they pick dare, tell them do do anything and they have to do it. Then it's their turn. Try to ask around!

And... I've got something special for you!

[ Vanilla pulls a sheet off a table to reveal a bunch of tiny plastic bottles, each about the size to hold one sip of liquid. ]

The blue ones are Vanilla's Famous Vanilla-Flavored One-Shot Truth Serum! One truthful statement guaranteed! The red ones are Sarsaparilla's Tequillas! Pure liquid courage - give yourself the extra kick you need to get out of your comfort zone!

...You don't have to drink these if you trust each other and are confident in yourself, but in the spirit of honesty in our relationship, I'm willing to make a trade. If all these shots are drunk by nighttime, I'll give you proof the people eliminated and disqualified are safe!

[ The truth serum, as you would expect, makes you tell the truth. The "tequillas" aren't actually alcoholic, but they do make you feel much braver. Both generally only last the length of one answer/dare, but some of them might last a little longer... chinchillas don't practice good quality control. ]

[ Things start clicking into place at least, and as he's sat on one of the lovesac's, she'll just shift until she can perch on the edge as best as she can. Her hand moves to gently squeeze his shoulder. ]

I am all too familiar with what a politician can be like. Do you wish to talk about it, or leave it be?

[blinks at her, a little flustered, before dropping his gaze]

My birth was a scandal, and... my father destroyed my mother. I was supposed to get revenge, but I ended up getting used instead.

[ She's sympathetic to it really, just because it's a harsh reality of what politics is like. No matter how much you prepare for it, it's... shit basically. ]

I see. But you said he eventually was caught, yes? If that is the case...? [ She trails off. ]

Only after the damage was already done. I wasn't even the one who brought him to justice.

[ She shifts slightly, leaning so she can look at him better. ]

To an extent. More than that, I don't like who I became under his influence.

[uggghh why did he think he could ever drink a truth serum]

[ Why did he want to drink a truth serum to begin with--other than the offer about those who were eliminated, it sounds like he has a Lot he'd probably want to keep locked up. ]

While that may be the case... it seems as though you have come to accept that, at least. You do not seem like someone who is still under that influence now.

[ She pauses. ] Really, I do not mind as long as you are all right. If you need to take a break we could find some tea for you to drink or something similar?

[To not look like the kind of guy who can't take truth serum, mostly. He was thinking he could get away with simply not lying.]

I'm fine. That's not to say I wouldn't say no to some tea...

[ Well at least it should wear off after that... ]

[ Her making tea probably won't be as good, but Ruler said he'd made orange tea before so there should be some left. ]

Is orange all right?

[time to sit here and scream internally a little while]

Of course. I shall return in a few minutes.

[ Scream internally away, Akechi... She takes about five minutes and hopefully he doesn't think she's abandoned him there. In her arms is a cup of the orange tea, though she doesn't seem to be sure how it is yet. ]

It may need a little longer to stew... I cannot say I have really made it before.

[sits up a bit straighter as she approaches]

I appreciate it. And... I appreciate you taking my confession so gracefully.

[assent]

[ She holds out the cup carefully, fingers taking the lip of it along with the edges so he can take the handle. ]

There is nothing to thank me for, truly. I just hope this helps... and that maybe opening up helped as well.

[ Even if she had concerns she wouldn't have let them show anyway. ]

Ah, a bit. You're easy to talk to, but that was rather... abrupt...

It may have been... yet, I presume that is what happens when we consume the solutions they gave us for this. I want a method to talk to people who were eliminated too, however...

[ She indicates to the bottle he'd drank from. ] It is rather potent, no?

[frowns. that is still, in fact, slightly more truthful fully intended]
