Trash Squad Day 7 - PRESENTS
Rise and shine, lovers and fighters! Come on down to the auditorium again today!
[ When you get to the auditorium, the chinchillas are on stage, but so is a large machine of some kind? ]
I hear some of you all wanted to move past get-to-know-yous and deepen your relationships a bit more! Well, there's lots of ways to go deep, you know, and sometimes you want to make sure you go slow... but there's one tried and true way to get closer to someone.
Giving them a present!!
[ The machine activates with various lights and noises and it becomes more obvious that it is in fact a gachapon machine, full of hundreds of small capsules. ]
You all get six pulls at the machine! That's six presents for the six people you want to date the most! Or whoever else. But you do need to give the presents away, and you do need to give them all to different people. It's not a present if you keep it for yourself! You won't like what happens to scrooges!
[ As described, you can push the button on the machine to dispense a capsule. You can only push it six times; after that it doesn't work. The capsules themselves are only about the size of your hand, but once they fall out they open and something much larger, or that really shouldn't have been stuck inside a plastic capsule in a machine, might come out... who knows what you'll get!! ]

Which are:'
1. Tarot Deck (The art on these is beautiful, but if you look closely, there's a chinchilla in the background of all of them...)
2. Water Flute (A unique type of flute. you pour water into the base and blow into the top, which can create a variety of sounds similar to a chirping bird.)
3. The book "The Ghost That Wants To Die" ('"Taro" jumped off the roof of the kindergarten, saying he no longer wanted to live. But now he was to live as a "ghost." The life of a "ghost" is pretty hard. Even though he wants it to end, it can't end. But "Taro" had an idea. Let's just change the meaning of "live." And to do that, "Taro" made a very strange move...!')
4. Cardboard box (It's just a box)
5. A flower crown with a tin can in it (is this a reference to something?)
6. The book "The Bomb Inside Her #2" ('Worried about the bomb inside her body that will explode if she "falls in love," Yumi Kayakuda continues to keep her distance from Shota, but even she can't keep her heart from longing for the forceful Shota. Whenever she realizes she is falling in love, she asks Shota to "bully" her to keep the flames of passion away from her bomb.')]
W-Well, at least the cardboard box makes it easy to carry these around...

[Niwatori holds out The Bomb Inside Her #1]

What would you like in exchange?

[she'll hand over the flute]

[She takes it, but she just wants to look at it for now.]
Huh. It says you're supposed to put water in it.

Has someone already claimed that tarot deck?

[Oh boy, here we go.]
For instance, did you know that tarot cards were originally created in the 15th century to be used in a card game of the same name? They began to be used for divination two centuries afterwards.
no subject
I did know that. I'm not... exactly a divination expert, but I'm familiar with the history and symbolism of them.
...Actually, would you like to make this interesting? I could help guide you... a tiny little tarot card reading, and you can keep the cards?

[ she does remember that Yuri likes books and Tohsaka here managed to get one herself so she's wondering if she'd want it ]
I don't know if you'd be interested in it, but I was wondering if you'd take this book off my hands.
[ it's titled "Pure Family Companion" -- Tohsaka herself hasn't looked through it yet because she doesn't want to get too attached to any of the gifts she has to give away ]
no subject
[she'll give the cover a glance over.] This looks interesting... I'll happily accept the gift.
Can I give you one of mine in exchange...? It's n-not much, but...
[Offers the cardboard box?]
no subject
Surprise!
no subject
[she looks at the offered gift and smiles.]
F-For me? Are you sure...?
[she'll take it]
Thank you so much... this really looks interesting...
[pause]
It's not much, but... can I offer you this in exchange?
[Offers the flower crown with a tin can in it?]
no subject
Oh... really? It's so cute! Um, are you sure?
[Unspoken words are "Are you sure when there are other people you probably like here more?"]
no subject
Of course! I... I want you to have it, if you like it at all.
I mean if it's not your cup of tea, I can find someone else but... you like it don't you?

[she smiles, ears blushing red]
I... picked up two different books... it's not much, but which do you think would be more interesting...? "The Ghost That Wants to Die," or "The Bomb Inside Her"?
no subject
[not that that precisely sounds like a fun summer romp, but hey]
What were you thinkin'?
no subject
The bomb one does sound more romantic... and someone gifted me the second volume. If I give the first to you, we know we have the first two copies of the story...?
--Not that it's any good or anything... I haven't had the chance to glance at it yet...

You enjoy creating stories, in addition to reading them, I believe?

[ He hands her a sketchbook. Look, he's not aware of lined paper or typewriters, so. Clearly this is a proper use of it. While he's torn off the inappropriate drawing on the last page, he's also added a few lines of his own on the half-page that's left. ]
1/2
Oh...
[pause, as she reads it]
Oh.
[another pause]
no subject
I... I understand. I understand... what you're saying.
[she holds it tight]
Thank you... this is a very thoughtful gift... of course I accept it...
