Are you ready for it?! It's the long awaited final event! This is your last chance to get close before your final dates and the final bonus event!

And, back by popular demand, it's the motive vi—wait, no, not that. Well, I guess you're motivated to build your relationships? That's better anyway.

...Anyway! Check your tablets! You will find you have a few interesting video files! They should be familiar to you! The catch is... if you don't share each one with a different person by nighttime today, they will all be shown to everyone here! We'll have a fun midnight viewing party!

This may seem a bit cruel, but... love is cruel sometimes. Take it as an opportunity to get a bit closer to the people you care about, or everyone will learn a bit more about you! It's win-win when you think about it that way!

[ On your tablets are a minimum of 3 video files! There is no maximum; it's however many you OOCly want to deal with. Each video contains some sort of secret your character has—'secret' loosely defined as anything they would be uncomfortable being thrown up on a big screen in the auditorium in front of everyone. The presentation can be as simple as lines of text with embarrassing facts (Alice wet the bed until she was in junior high!) or as involved as a dramatically edited montage of the murders they committed through their whole life. Your choice!

Each file should be shown to a different person to count as 'shared'. If there is anything they do not manage to, or choose not to, share with someone in particular, comment with a brief description of it over here. These will all be shared publicly in a post which goes up on Thursday before the date announcement post. ]

He pulls away from the hug, but he keeps his hands on Yusuke's shoulders as he says the next part.]

You're not a tool to be used like that. You're a living, breathing person, and you deserve to be treated like one. Don't ever let someone treat you like that, alright? Because you deserve better.

[yusuke knows that now, but part of him still feels the pain of being used his whole life for nothing more than fame and money. he smiles a little, wryly]

... I wonder how things would have turned out had someone told me that when I was younger. Perhaps I would have run away. But that was always what kept me there--I had nowhere else to go, no one else to turn to... until I met Ann, Akira, and Ryuji.

Aah, so they're your precious friends then.

[Rin has friends like that too, back home. Friends who helped him open up and become a better person.]

Yes. Though they are far from perfect, they have supported me and fought by my side. I treasure their friendship more than anything else, even as much as my own art.

[he gets a really fond look on his face]

We are a wayward group of misfits, delinquents, and troublemakers... yet being with them is paradise compared to what I lived through before.

If it makes you talk like that, then I can see why it's better. And if Akira's involved, then it's got to be good. He's a good person.

Indeed. I think he touched all of our lives deeply, even deeper than he expected to.

Yeah, that sounds about right for him.

I had wondered about that. He had asked me about the bruises before, and he seemed so surprised to discover you were the source. He realized it had been a misunderstanding right away... as expected of him, really.

We had our own shouting matches before, but I never hit him. Still, I guess he figured out that I was the one who'd probably punch you. I gotta admit, guys like you usually piss me off, and I think he knows that.

[chuckles]

Actually, when we first met, I was disdainful of him and Ryuji. I didn't wish to speak to either of them, only Ann. I must have seemed quite arrogant to them.

Really? Why? Is it because Akira's totally a delinquent too?

[artisticliberty]

I only approached them in the first place because I wanted to ask Ann to model for me. They insisted on accompanying us, out of some ludicrous concern for her safety--to the gallery, and later to sensei's atelier. Neither Akira nor Ryuji caught my attention as she had, though I admit now that had I looked harder, I would have been more impressed than I was.

Is it because she was a girl and they were boys?

No, it was because she looked like a goddess incarnate and they were mere mortals.

[only yusuke could deliver a line like that and sound totally deadpan]

Pedestal. And yes, it was. But I was determined to paint her; she looked exactly like how I imagined the goddess of inspiration--a muse, if you will.

[he chuckles]

Of course, I had no idea what that encounter would eventually lead to.

That's how it usually happens, isn't it? You know, the first time I really talked to Akira, I didn't like him too much either. We'd known each other, but I didn't seriously start talking to him until after he and Ichigo got first. And Ichigo was my friend first, so I thought everything was Akira's fault. But after talking with him a bit, I realized it wasn't that. It was just Ichigo being a dumbass.

[And Akira being a dumbass too tbh]

So we both learned not to judge by appearances, it seems.
