Are you ready for it?! It's the long awaited final event! This is your last chance to get close before your final dates and the final bonus event!

And, back by popular demand, it's the motive vi—wait, no, not that. Well, I guess you're motivated to build your relationships? That's better anyway.

...Anyway! Check your tablets! You will find you have a few interesting video files! They should be familiar to you! The catch is... if you don't share each one with a different person by nighttime today, they will all be shown to everyone here! We'll have a fun midnight viewing party!

This may seem a bit cruel, but... love is cruel sometimes. Take it as an opportunity to get a bit closer to the people you care about, or everyone will learn a bit more about you! It's win-win when you think about it that way!

[ On your tablets are a minimum of 3 video files! There is no maximum; it's however many you OOCly want to deal with. Each video contains some sort of secret your character has—'secret' loosely defined as anything they would be uncomfortable being thrown up on a big screen in the auditorium in front of everyone. The presentation can be as simple as lines of text with embarrassing facts (Alice wet the bed until she was in junior high!) or as involved as a dramatically edited montage of the murders they committed through their whole life. Your choice!

Each file should be shown to a different person to count as 'shared'. If there is anything they do not manage to, or choose not to, share with someone in particular, comment with a brief description of it over here. These will all be shared publicly in a post which goes up on Thursday before the date announcement post. ]

[ She pauses. ] Though there is also a possibility it all is fake after all, of course.

[ Shuichi had warned her it could be either because... he didn't really know for sure either. ]

17. [ She pauses. ] Or at least that is what I remember as being the truth.

[ Her body looks as it did when she was 17???? ]

[nods] Then the videos... are of you when you were younger...?

[assent]

You would think so, however... given what I know about how my memories were removed that does not sound feasible either. I have... not had the chance to speak to my classmate about it yet, so it may be something they are able to answer.

...Um... I don't want to keep you, but... maybe you could help me...?

You are not keeping me at all. The truth is that... I have known the possibility was there for almost 2 days now, so... Please, go ahead. Would you like me to watch something for you?

It almost sounds like magic... or maybe a drug...? I mean, there's nothing that normally erases memories, is there? Other than... brain damage... um... not that I think you're brain damaged, but...

[she passes over her tablet with a movie ready to watch]

All I know is what Saihara-san told me at the moment. "Rehabilitation" is the word he used for it, so... I could not say.

[ She takes the tablet though, giving Yuri a reassuring smile. ] Of course. Whenever you are ready, I shall begin the video. ...Are you...?

... [she just looks away]

Yuri stands in front of her knife collection: a wall full of knives mounted on it, in various styles, types, and sizes. They all look very sharp. They're mounted securely, though. Most look very ornate, like they're for ceremonial use than practical or utilitarian. Yuri spends time dusting them, polishing them, and generally fawning over them. Indeed, a lot of time is spent holding them and staring at them with an engrossed look on her face.]

[ Taking that as a yes, she hits play.

It's a strange video, though she can't say she's surprised either given what she knows of her. Sonia doesn't have it with knives, but she's had a lot of practice handling guns, explosives and the like and you can feel a rush of power holding one (as that's what she assumes that is) ]

If I am honest, I fail to see anything wrong with it. Though I am aware many people here are upset by weaponry in general. [ She sighs. ] Whenever I tell someone that my country teaches elementary schoolers how to operate a tank they are often upset by it.

You do have a rather ornate collection. Did you buy some of them from antique stores?

[ Though ah. ]

Yes, tanks. Alongside that I am also aware of how to use firearms and explosives given that the royal family control the military, my lessons on warfare were also complete.

Not really... most from online auctions or knife stores... They're not really that old.

...I... had no idea your country was that... turbulent. Or is it... mostly ceremonial?

I see. [ Well, the compliments were there but now it's. Her turn, probably. In a moment, anyway. She slides up on her tablet, stopping at a certain point. This, at least, she remembers. The thumbnail is of her sitting on the floor in a room and she definitely looks younger. ]

I realise I have not said nearly enough to some people, but yes. My life has not been quite as peaceful as you may expect.

[ She holds her tablet up, waiting for Yuri. ] I apologise in advance if this is a little difficult to watch.

I... I won't judge, Sonia. Not after... that.

[she was a little anxious now, but she' couldn't turn it down.]

[she takes the tablet]

Thank you. [ Her voice is soft as she taps the play button for her, though she isn't actually going to watch it with her. She doesn't need to when she's more than aware of what it is that's happening.

The video starts with Sonia in the middle of the room, but she looks a few years younger than she is now. It's a small room, unkept and dirty. There's a towel on the floor for her, but that's probably one of the few comforts. Her hands are bound together with rope, and at this point her eyes are covered with some kind of fabric. Someone probably has a gun pointed at her too.

Yuri will hear people talking in the background, men on the phone talking about what demands they're planning to ask for in a video of some sorts. Despite all of this going on, however, Sonia sits unmoving the entire time. Her lips are curled into the faintest of a smile, her body still straight.

Even when one of the men pulls the blindfold off and starts to talk to her, telling her what to say there's... no backlash whatsoever. She's completely submissive.

The video starts and she follows the instructions, smiling as she delivers the message to her parents about what political cause they want changing. What kind of power they want people to have.

If Yuri pays close enough attention she'll probably realise that Sonia has withdrawn into herself during the ordeal and is merely acting on instinct for survival -- and because it's expected of her as Princess. Even with a gun to her head. ]

[Oh my god, this wasn't a memory, this was a bad dream.]

S-Sonia... you were... kidnapped by terrorists!?

[assent]

[ And this is why Isuke pissed her off just as much tbh. ]

Twice, on different occasions, yes.

No, it is not. [ She glances at Yuri. ] I remember both occasions, after all.

I'm so sorry...

You... you were very brave...

[assent]

I did what I had to do for the sake of my country. [ She gives Yuri a smile, but it's bittersweet. Simply because of what those forgotten memories probably contain. ]

I... I can't imagine... how that must have felt...

There's... there's a happy ending, though, right...?
