Trash Squad Day 14 - AWARDS & ENDGAME
[ When the morning comes, Vanilla's voice crackles over the loudspeaker. ]
Final day to get it up, everyone! It's almost all over... aah, I might cry a little! Come on down to the auditorium for the awards ceremony!
[ And when you do, there are some familiar faces there... Everyone who was disqualified or eliminated has returned, although some of them look a bit disoriented or... sunburnt? (Characters can either have been at the beach getaway or just in limbo-stasis for their time away, with no awareness of the intervening time.)
On the stage, the chinchillas stand with some tacky 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons, as well as... a number of stacks of other things. ]
Are you ready! We've finally pulled together our final scores... Let's see who's found romance beyond the bounds of time and space! ...Well, actually a lot of you have, I think! Well done! But let's see who got the most points for it!
In third place, with 62 points... Sonia!
In second place, with 65 points... Yusuke!
Aaaaand in first place, with 68 points, receiving our grand prize... it's Rin!!!
Congratulations, everyone! You can collect your prizes on the way out! For everyone else, of course, we've still got a little something for you... come on up and grab it.
[ Everyone, including people who were eliminated, gets a yearbook! It is full of pictures of significant events from the game, and a fancy pen in case they want to do some yearbook signing. Everyone's yearbook is a little different; in fact, it seems more like a scrapbook of their personal experience than a real yearbook, though it does at least have a roster of all the participants, and, of course, the voted winners of the awards. Yearbook award winners also have an extra prize!
The 21 people still in the game at the end also get something which looks like a smartwatch of some kind, with a touchscreen and a dial. The screen has some instructions:
CALIBRATION IN PROGRESS
STEP 1: TO CALIBRATE TO USER, STRAP TO WRIST WHILE IN CALIBRATION MODE.
STEP 2: ENTER BASE WORLD COORDINATES FOR THE TWO DESTINATIONS.
WARNING: CALIBRATION IS NOT REVERSIBLE.
As returning Nope's Peak students might guess, you can make your way up to the previously-barred control room door and enter it now; the large console from last time is still there, with a screen and a number of knobs that allow you to select a world or any of the alternate variants of it, at any place or time. Once something is selected, there are a set of mysterious coordinates which you can input into the watch. When you do so for two worlds, it displays "CALIBRATION COMPLETE. PARALLEL TIME SEQUENCE WILL ACTIVATE UPON CALIBRATED WORLD ENTRY." and then goes blank. That... probably worked?
There is also a glowing platform that will transport you to the selected location, when you're ready to go.
First through third prize winners will arrive at home with their grand prize. For everyone with a watch, it activates when you reach one of the worlds input in it, and gives a single option: TRANSPORT?
Some disqualified/eliminated characters may be hard to find after the awards ceremony is over... when challenged, the chinchillas will just say they ushered them home early for some rest. ]

Kiyo could hardly believe this was the end of it. Really, the whole thing was surreal. First thing's first, he decides to have a look through his Yearbook prize. Of course, everyone voted him the most kinky. It could have been worse, but how was he supposed to explain this box of handcuffs and whips and...]
... Rope? They included this much rope?
Goodness, they think of everything.
[He lingers a bit after the ceremony to look for lost friends and trusted fellows. He has his destinations in mind already, but it would be best to say goodbye first...
Soon enough, he has followed the returning players to the control room. Kiyo will be checking the room to make sure no live chinchillas have been harmed in the making of this dating game before attempting to calibrate his fancy new watch... He could use some help.]

You'd better tell me this stuff wears out and that's why you need so much. Using all that at once on people has got to be a crime.

Also the box with other clothes, a collapsed Tonbokiri and Puppy sticking his head out]
That is more rope than I was given to use on the Chancellor.
[Oh right, only Ruler saw that video.]

unclear if this is supposed to be threatening or just weird Akira behaviour, really]

I'm not that tragic....
[ Later on, he can be seen looking up calibrations, though he hasn't programmed any yet. ]

Though honestly he's more interested in the two watches he has than in any of the other prizes. These right here, these are what he had been gunning for in the first place. Money was nice, stuff was nice, but the ability to go visit someone from another dimension whenever he wanted? That was priceless.]
I wonder if I can use the prize money to buy a third one...
[Probably not, but it's a thought.]
Oh yeah! Anybody who doesn't have a home to go back to, you can come with me. My world's an alright place to be, and you'll have me there anyway so that's totally worth it.
[He's. About to make a shitload of work for Mephisto. But whatever he needs to work sometimes.]
And anybody not coming with me...I guess we should talk about who's going where, huh?
[So they can use the watches smartly.]

I'll be going back where I came from. Wish me luck in the war, everyone!
[A bit too cheerfully, but at least she actually has a not-crazy reason for that. Contrasting her one definite decision, though, she'll remain lingering for a good deal longer than that statement would have lead anyone to assume. To what world should she choose to retreat...? Tactically, anything is fine, right? But the alternative is just choosing with her heart, and that's difficult... FEELINGS ARE HARD. So as the first group of people are leaving, she 'remembers' something, and goes back to her dorm to start packing up all the stuff she'd gathered here. She may not have won anything extra, but she might as well keep the mementos. She leaves the door open for anyone to come and find her.]

[It explains a lot. Natsuki is working with the bits and pieces she has. She's just trying to be nice. Critical thinking can come later. Her head is starting to hurt just from hearing the voices of many people in one room again.]

[ he's clapping for them after the winners have been announced! Yayyyy
later, ruler can be found fiddling with his watch or mulling over the yearbook, looking A Little displeased - one can hear him muttering under his breath, something like, "Is that really fair?" - but, it's hard to see what he's talking about.
in any case, he can also be found actually like, looking for a few people - Allen Walker in specific, though Akira might be among that number - though he's also just taking his time to comb through the rest of the school, wandering about as if savoring the last time he'll walk about these halls.
You can also find him actually in the wine cellar, deliberating how many wine bottles he can take back with him. maybe a gift for master. Maybe a gift for Semiramis.
Lastly, you can find him in the control room - he doesn't seem to be intent on going through the transport system until everyone has left, including the disqualifieds and the losers. Aside from his looking for Allen and Akira earlier though, he doesn't seem particularly keen on talking to anyone, instead content enough with watching everyone else say goodbyes to each other. ]

a) flipping through the yearbook with a critical arched eyebrow, making "tsk" noises at the chinchilla's scrapbook design choices,
b) looking perplexed at all this edible body paint and looking back and forth between the cans of paint and his paintbrush,
or
c) carrying several large canvases of some nude portraits he did during his time here into the main hall to be transported back home. there are also some non-nude portraits he's carrying (including a fantastical one of kiyo dressed in a gorgeous white kimono) but i know what the audience wants ok.]

She's wearing the same school uniform she had on when she arrived and looking distinctly untan, so she probably hasn't been at a beach resort all this time.
She also isn't carrying her yearbook with her for some reason? Huh.

But how is she supposed to hug while carrying her box. It's got all her clothes that she's taking back, Tonobokiri in it's collapsed state, her book and Puppy. The dog is making an attempt to escape, luckily he's only able to stick his head out the top of the box. She's wearing her dress from a few days ago. If she's going to another place she should try and dress normally.
She can be found wandering the halls with her box and looking for friends and ending at the control room to check her belongings. But there's a short amount of time where she plays with Puppy in the gym. And they're playing tug of war each of them holding their end of the fabric with their teeth.

How can I choose only two worlds...?

and it distracts from the whole... world hopping decisions and also... the fact that he could. plausibly. see what happens in the future. the idea of either leaves him unsettled, because he's pretty sure there isn't much good, but also he's not even sure how these machines work?
expensive alcohol he can pawn off to last a little longer, however? that, he can understand.

Even if she'll apparently have money to use.
When that is over though she ends up keeping away from most people, with her part of the heart necklace around her neck, the "shoulder massager" ???? on the floor next to the bundle of clothes.
