Day 13: Investigation

[Morning comes, and with it, a distinct sense of unease. The raccoons spared no feelings in their offers yesterday, and even tried to ensure a murderer could get away with it... Only if everything goes according to the raccoons' plans, though, and that hasn't really been the case so far, has it? Haven't you been doing so well these not-quite-two weeks?

In some cultures, thirteen is considered an unlucky number, you know.]

It seems some people did not.

[shrugs]

Perhaps our friends will shed light on its purpose. It certainly got here some how.

Did you do anything after we were separated?

Did either of them bring it here?

[Looks at the two?]

No. I was unable to find a new friend like I was told so I went to my room after searching.

My experience was similar. Unfortunately, they even sealed the holes in our wall so we can't confirm our alibis.

[huffs]

No, I already inquired Kurusu-san and Kurosaki-san about it. Though if no one will 'own up' to it, then perhaps fingerprints will do.

That means we cannot talk all night again. Unless you do the same thing as Akira-dono did...

[yay sleepover!]

...True, though perhaps it became a tool of destruction in an indirect way?

For example, if one were to cut a rope placed above a pit, while someone is on the rope, at a distance from the ground great enough to seriously injure or kill the person...

I do not understand. The two down there are small and even they were not injured by the fall for that. And they would have been easy targets, but the one who cut the rope left them...

[Or the rope cutter didn't know how big the drop was, but why have a knife that's bad for stabbing.]
