One, your tablet informs you that there's a killing night tonight! Tonight we're back to normal; only one murder, please!

And two, there is shitty prepackaged deli sushi in kitchen. So uh, y'know. Enjoy that.]

Living through it the first time was enough. There wasn't anything so wonderful it made me want to experience it more than once. ...But if you wanted to debrief, as it were, I'm happy to listen.

I wish I was able to understand what is even going on anymore. And thinking that there isn't much I can do to help others but try to ease their pain in ways I only know.

But on the other hand, I also know not to burn myself out like others might... But I'm allowed to feel frustrated, aren't I? [He is not dropping names, but we're sure they both know who they'r referring to. Darn shonens.]

It's difficult not to feel some frustration. But given that our hosts are mostly interested in seeing us squirm, melodramatic shows of futile force are a waste of time and energy.

I suppose you're right. It just doesn't sit well that it all sounds like resigning to what's to come, is all. But if it means survival... and able to still look out for you. And others...

...You don't have to run, you have to live. It doesn't matter how great the escape plan is if you don't make it home in one piece. There's no shame in biding one's time.
