Except neither time I have done this have my accusations been baseless! I was correct about him causing the murder-suicide, and there are two clues indicating him right now!

[Honestly, she's not even sure what to say to that, and she's suddenly acutely aware that this isn't something she can be objective about and like hell is she going to think about why any more than she absolutely has to. But still.

She tries to keep anything other than pragmatism and maybe a little compassion out of her voice.]

You're focusing on a man who used words when there's someone who used teeth.
