[Most of the flooding has been stopped as well, though it's uncomfortably damp just about everywhere. Looks like the raccoons only half-assed their cleanup.]

I spoke privately with Furudo after Honda's execution. She'd learned the reasoning behind the burning of the library and had some questions about Akechi. She mentioned she was happy to finally find someone else who didn't think he was a perfect child. She also took pains to tell me she was going to be paired up, so I'd know who to suspect.

Suddenly, her partner and alibi was swept up by one Goro Akechi. Coincidence?

Remember: Tycoon didn't say "it's someone without an alibi," he said it was "someone with a Japanese name."

...I was out early in the evening, and it did seem like the garbage bears were in a hurry to get me back to my room very early in the night. That would fit with the murder happening early, with time to meet up with an alibi later.
