[It's that time again! The Great Detective has been killed, so put those little grey cells to work and find the culprit!]

[Most of the flooding has been stopped as well, though it's uncomfortably damp just about everywhere. Looks like the raccoons only half-assed their cleanup.]

[Speaking of half-assed, where's Tycoon? I mean, broken ones, sure, but has anybody seen him up and about? Looks like you guys might be flying blind this time around...]

He could've taken care of it first, before Akira even got a chance to know about it. Why else be so adamant about pushing to keep Akira in place now and not days ago?

...And if Akira was going to meet up with Erika coming from the dorms, Goro would've run into him on the way back to the dorms.

It's possible Akira never even knew. The story stays intact, no one there was lying. Just, one person wasn't telling the whole truth.

Of course he wouldn't know anything about it!

That'd be another reason to drag him off on the double, if there'd been Erika's body at their secret rendezvous.

And if Akira hates him so much, that makes him the perfect alibi! There's no way he'd cover for him on purpose!

But Akira's smart! He would've known something is up right away if Akechi was acting weird! And Akira wouldn't lie about that. Not to me.

[They're FRIENDS and he's sure Akira would have said something to him privately about it if nothing else.]

One could argue that Akechi is always acting weird.

But they know each other, Akira would've been able to pick up on something like that. And even if he hadn't, why wouldn't the raccoons shove Akira in a room by himself? If Akechi murdered Erika, then that would've been his 'night buddy'.

Look, I'm not saying it was you. I don't think it was you, my vote's for someone else. But Akechi has a pretty solid alibi.
