Wouldn't that be too naive of me? No, I'm sure you'll do your best - to test my patience, to break my heart. But, I can say with absolute certainty that you won't do such a thing.

No, I should say - even if you try, you can't do it.

You're so determined, are you? Is it that you're really that confident or you'll forgive me even if I succeed?

Well - there is that, certainly.

But, I don't believe you would do the most heinous of actions. You are, at your core, still a righteous person. You do not harm that which does not need to be harmed - "vengeance" is to inflict recompense to those who have wronged you. In other words, you are not the sort of person who would do the unforgivable merely on a whim, or because you desire to, to someone who has not done at least something of equal harm to you.

Even if you were to do such a thing to me, I would find it in my heart to forgive you. But, I have faith that you would not tread upon such territory in the first place. Because you are a good person, Avenger.

Hmph. A ridiculous claim. It's true that I embody vengeance -- a righteous anger -- but can awful things not be done in the name of this righteousness? Even if it is "justified" -- does that make me a good person? I do not regret what I have done but a "good" person would have been much more forgiving, no?

"Good intentions pave the road to hell". Certainly, you are capable of the greatest depths in the name of vengeance - but, you don't seek to be cruel to those who don't deserve as much. Though you have dirtied your hands, I'm certain that you are good. And, you're capable of that forgiveness - that is what I believe.
