[ Today the cafeteria looks different again, most of the tables cleared out and the space full of pillows, blankets, and love sacs of various sizes. Around the time everyone gets there, Vanilla pops up in the front of the room.. ]

Do you know what one of the most important things in a relationship is? Honesty! Do you know what some others are? Trust! Self-confidence! Communication! A sense of adventure! Sexual compatibility!

...What was I talking about? Oh, right! Today's event is truth or dare! You know how it works! Find someone and ask them if they want a truth or a dare! If they pick truth, ask them any question and they have to tell the truth. If they pick dare, tell them do do anything and they have to do it. Then it's their turn. Try to ask around!

And... I've got something special for you!

[ Vanilla pulls a sheet off a table to reveal a bunch of tiny plastic bottles, each about the size to hold one sip of liquid. ]

The blue ones are Vanilla's Famous Vanilla-Flavored One-Shot Truth Serum! One truthful statement guaranteed! The red ones are Sarsaparilla's Tequillas! Pure liquid courage - give yourself the extra kick you need to get out of your comfort zone!

...You don't have to drink these if you trust each other and are confident in yourself, but in the spirit of honesty in our relationship, I'm willing to make a trade. If all these shots are drunk by nighttime, I'll give you proof the people eliminated and disqualified are safe!

[ The truth serum, as you would expect, makes you tell the truth. The "tequillas" aren't actually alcoholic, but they do make you feel much braver. Both generally only last the length of one answer/dare, but some of them might last a little longer... chinchillas don't practice good quality control. ]

He is a noble, pure soul; in the darkness of his adversity, he shines like a gem.

He is selfish, and short-sighted. He even admitted to as much himself. He seeks salvation for souls but does not know if he is saving them at all, in the end.

Who are you to speak of short-sightedness, you who can only think of the gratification of vengeance but do not think of your future beyond that? In the end, you too will be burned by your own flames, if you will not do anything about it.

Certainly, that child is selfish and short-sighted, but he is only human. Can you say that you know the direction of every star that flies in the sky, the strength of the winds that will blow day to day?

Can you say that you do not respect such selfishness, Avenger? For, if you do not, then I am much more intolerable than that child is.

Did I ever say I disliked him for that selfishness? No, it is an entirely human thing. He seeks to save what is in front of him without considering where that may head -- I cannot criticize him for being only human in that sense.

But neither he nor you can expect me to be soft, or dishonest about such behavior when I see it. Are you arguing with me because I did not lighten my words?

Simply, I don't approve of childlike bullying behavior of criticising someone for any misgivings you have of me.

Criticize that child all you'd like, on merits of his own. Bend him, as you are wont to do - but, just, do not break him. Though I shouldn't have to ask that of you.

Ah, my apologies, there were simply some aspects of him that reminded me of you. I may have been a little biased as a result of that.

But I do not feel I was unfairly cruel or critical in the end.

[ it's indignant mixed in with the laughter the tickling is forcing out of him and he's aiming for Ruler's sides in turn, twisting to try to roll on top of him ]
