Unfortunately, with how this place is, I'm afraid I won't be able to show you anything about it. Mm, but let us consider it to be something similar to electricity—that is to say, it is an energy. Not of conducting currents, but of the soul.

This body of mine requires magic in order to sustain itself; however, the conversion of food to spiritual energy is inefficient, and sleep only temporarily reduces the amount that I must consume. Still, there's little to be done about that, so this is about as much as I can do.

Hmm . . . So, since there's no magic here, you're having trouble? The animals should provide you with some if they're giving all of us food. Have you tried asking them?

If at all possible, I would prefer not to resort to that. There are a few concerns I have with regards to my own consumption of magic. . .
