[he looks a little stunned by her offer, his throat drying up. but he's had more hugs from people in these last few days than in his entire life]

[ Same, tbh. It's easy to get caught up in the availability of it, but also she just wants to be able to support him in this as well. She said she'd cheer Tatsuya on, so now it can just be the both of them.

She curls her arms around him in a hug though, holding tight so he knows he isn't alone in this. ]

I wish things could be easier.

Rin told me that Akira, Ichigo and himself died there. I think... No, I know he's probably been blaming himself all this time for not being able to save them and I hope we [ "we" ] managed to console him. However, it is... not exactly something I could relate to. I came here to try and process it, I suppose.

Especially before I meet Akira later.

... yes. On top of everything else, they were all killed... I had not thought about it, but they must be reliving those moments here.

Rin told myself and Allen this morning... about what happened to him, Akira and Ichigo. I am... trying to prepare myself to face him but it is not easy. I do... not really know what to do.

Akira would not wish to be pitied, I think. But he would appreciate empathy and kindness, two things you seem to excel at, in my opinion.

He might also appreciate a hug.

I do not entirely know all the circumstances of it, Rin did not go into detail. He was more... upset about not being able to save them.

[ One of her hands has to pull away from behind him, moving to press against where her chest hurts from remembering how he cried earlier, about how Allen responded to it. ]

So I think... if you say that is the case, maybe it will be all right.

[ She is clearly still Not Okay though. ]

[ It's... warm. Comforting, too, in a way she didn't expect. She's tired of crying so she manages to push those tears threatening to spill over back. ]

I am not so certain of that. [ But at least she lets out a tiny laugh at it, kind of breathy in that she's still holding back cracking and breaking down. ]

Do not doubt your importance here. You have made an impact on many peoples' lives, simply by being yourself. Of course we are lucky to have you--no one could take your friendship for granted.

Yusuke... [ She trails off, having to bite her lip. She just stopped!! Almost crying!! It's taking a few deep breaths to regulate it now, her hands are shaking a bit too. ]

...Sometimes that may not be enough in the time we have.

[yusuke touches sonia's cheek and lifts her head up to look at him. he's gotten soooo much more touchy in the last few days]

You cannot measure yourself like that. You are good enough, as you are. Did we not say so earlier, that even though we can do nothing for the marine animals, that we are determined to save them somehow? It may not make a difference right now, but it does mean something. You mean something. I will acknowledge that, if no one else will.

[ She probably hasn't had the time to fully compose herself, so her eyes are probably still a little misty. ]
