Day 5, afternoon

[SO HEY, THIS MORNING WAS SUPER COOL, HUH??? EASTER EGG HUNT, BODY PARTS, TOO MANY LEGS, SUPER FUN, RIGHT????

and the fun don't stop here at Nope's Peak Academy, because once that announcement has gone off and everyone's had a couple of minutes to...pretend to catch their bearings and deal with the fact that all of the body parts are gone except for the major award leg lamp Ichigo's stuck holding, there are more announcements to come.]

As of now, you have the rest of today and tomorrow to figure out who to punish for the murder of Sigma Klim! You should double check your rules page if you forget what that entails. Or if you didn't! Nyehehehe.

[And there's something new on that rules page, too, for those who take a minute to check.]

You can vote whenever you want, but make sure to do it, okay? It's going to be a problem if you refuse to vote at all, nyehehehehe!

[When the characters open up their tablet again, laborious instructions will guide them through getting to the voting app and using it; both names and pictures are showcased. Votes can be changed at any time, and there's a countdown at the top of the app for how long until votes are due.]

Good luck, everyone, nyehehe!

What, exactly, is like that scene in the Shining?

[Not knowing what the Shining is in the first place, all she can do is repeat 'the Shining']

Was there something in his room that resembled the Shining?

[She's really hoping you can shed some light in the matter, at least]

I'm not very familiar with "the shining", myself but Tsumugi-kun and Akira-kun seem to have an idea for what it is.

It means that someone broke through the bathroom door.

In that case, I find unlikely he was asleep. I'm inclined towards thinking the message may have been written by him, that he was caught by surprise in his room and ran to the bathroom to seek refuge.

Or at least those are my conclusions just from hearing this -- perhaps his room would contradict my guess...?

[Not that it'd change much. It doesn't help find out who the culprit is, it's not even guaranteed the killer knows about the Shining]

I'm not so sure. The phrasing implies a joke being made; hardly something someone would do while hiding in a bathroom for fear of his life.

Not only that but the tablet was in one piece and left alone on the sink. In addition to that, no one facing an axe murderer would look so peaceful in death unless they truly wanted to die and even then I doubt being killed with an axe would leave the face without so much as a grimace.

The door was intact as well, correct? Everything points to this being a staged piece of evidence.

[personal profile] cw_suicide 2017-12-20 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Possibly. Or it could be something like he began to write his message, got called away from it or otherwise distracted, and then was knocked out or fell asleep before he returned to it. And the murderer didn't care to bother with the tablet--but that seems the most odd to me.

Then again, not everyone here is educated in how best to clean up or hide evidence for a murder.

[AMATEURS]

It's either that or suicide. After which, the raccoons dismembered the body. Either way, the dismemberment was certainly post-mortem or our victim simply didn't register his own death.

My guess would be the former, considering their new "rule" about tampering with the crime scene.

[personal profile] cw_suicide 2017-12-21 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Well, the latter has certainly been discouraged thanks to this new rule.

[SO MUCH FOR AN EASY WIN.]
