Day 6 - Final discussion before the second execution

[This morning, a video of Tycoon auto-plays on everyone's tablets. He is in a dimly lit room, and seems to be eating pudding out of a bicycle horn...? Whatever, the raccoons are weird.]

Today’s the day! Are you pumped up? Psyched out? Pissed off? Done in? Hehehehe!

Everybody better vote today for who you want to be PUNISHED! If you don't vote by the time the timer reaches zero, your vote will be randomized! Just like it now says in the rules!

I, Tycoon (only Tycoon), will still answer one question per person if you haven’t cashed yours in yet! Rule clarifications are free, by the way! Also, quit freaking out about the people who are off crying in their rooms or whatever! You already have all the alibis you need to solve the mystery!

Judge. The trade of coffee was restricted until 1858. We are not allowed to import it till then.

[That's a really odd comment from a girl wearing a mechanical hair tie.

But she's going to take the mug. And just stare for a moment...Sips? What does the coffee taste like?]
purrtagonist: (i tumble down the stairs)

[personal profile] purrtagonist 2017-12-22 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
. . . what year is it for you back home?

[HE ASSUMED, LIKE. MODERN TIMES? BUT APPARENTLY NOT]

[also it's good! a bit bitter because it's made from instant coffee grinds, but he doctored it up to give it a bit of flavor. ULTIMATE BARISTA]
cluelesscavewoman: (Conversations between Worriers)

[personal profile] cluelesscavewoman 2017-12-22 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
[She coughs, and sticks her tongue out with a wince...Then has some more...]

...Jud, it would be the 27th of April 1648, Testament Era.
purrtagonist: (no offense but when can I kill something)

[personal profile] purrtagonist 2017-12-22 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
[so how did she know coffee was restricted until 1858. . .]

Time traveler?
cluelesscavewoman: (Commandos In Town)

[personal profile] cluelesscavewoman 2017-12-22 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
[No, but her daughter is. She tilts her head, not understanding what he means by that.]

We will not be allowed to import coffee until later on in the 1600s. And then it will not be regular till later.

Though the Testament Union might allow us more in between. It would depend on how specific their information is. If it is vague then we would be allowed more without it affecting the recreation.
purrtagonist: (The gargoyle takes a MASSIVE hit)

[personal profile] purrtagonist 2017-12-22 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
[what]

[HE'S SO CONFUSED]

How do you. . . know what happens in the future? And what's a Testament Union?
cluelesscavewoman: (The Usurper in Town)

[personal profile] cluelesscavewoman 2017-12-22 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
...The Testament Union is the group that directs the recreation of humanities history.

[It's said like it's the simplest thing in the world.]
purrtagonist: (You take a quiet moment to hate wolves)

[personal profile] purrtagonist 2017-12-22 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Oh.

Suddenly, everything makes sense.

[no it doesn't]
cluelesscavewoman: (Liar in the Marketplace)

[personal profile] cluelesscavewoman 2017-12-22 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Judge.

[If that was sarcasm, it failed. Cause she's going to take that as him fully understanding.]
purrtagonist: (roll for sass)

[personal profile] purrtagonist 2017-12-22 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
[it. it was sarcasm]

And by that I mean, I have noooo idea what you just said.
cluelesscavewoman: (Those who Wait in a Place of Yearning)

1/2 this could take awhile...

[personal profile] cluelesscavewoman 2017-12-22 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[But this is stuff taught to nursery kids. Masasumi teaches them, she even has time to make games for them about it-]
cluelesscavewoman: (Performer in an Unrivaled Field)

2/2

[personal profile] cluelesscavewoman 2017-12-22 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[-And if Masazumi can make games and jokes about it to help nursery kids get it, then she can explain it to someone. So, she punches her palm and starts.

Akira you poor fucker.]

A long time ago, humanity had the power to create a world they could escape the environment of their old world. Due to a war new world was destroyed. So humanity was forced to return to the old world... The environment had stabilized again. But it was not possible for humans to live in most areas, as strange creatures now roamed them. And they had lost the knowledge to return to the world that had been.

To regain the lost knowledge. The Testament Union was established. They had decided that humans would recreate history...

[She looks up to make sure he's listening. Then nods to herself. Trying to jog her own memory of the old stuff.]

purrtagonist: (is the frozen pigeon still on fire?)

[personal profile] purrtagonist 2017-12-22 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[. . . he sure is listening. pretty intently, actually. in fact, he's standing up a little straighter, looking at her with a bemused but attentive expression]

How do you recreate history?

[. . .]

How would recreating history even help?
cluelesscavewoman: (Usurper in the Street)

[personal profile] cluelesscavewoman 2017-12-22 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
The Testament Union, possess the Testament. [It's a really imaginative name.]

It is a book that documents early human history. They assign names based on how suitable people are for them and have then copy the role they played in history...

[And here she was going to talk about the Harmonic Unification war, but he's asked that.]

I do not know. Lord Motonobu said the same. It is why he destroyed Mikawa. He said that we need to go against the Testament Union...
purrtagonist: (I’m strong as fuck and I do dope things)

[personal profile] purrtagonist 2017-12-22 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[. . . okay. . .]

It just seems. . . strange? [rubs the back of his neck, and shrugs] Why recreate history when you could be making your own? It sounds like it isn't really 1648 where you come from either, but some time far off in the future from that.
cluelesscavewoman: (Worrier in the Twilight)

[personal profile] cluelesscavewoman 2017-12-22 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I do not know. [She's already said that.]

It was decided long before I was born. Due to Lord Motonobu's actions we are currently at war with the countries that are following the Testament Union.
purrtagonist: Even if they turn into an apple (It’s not ok to eat people)

[personal profile] purrtagonist 2017-12-22 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[ha. wry]

Sounds like your time period is already making its own history after all.
cluelesscavewoman: (The One Left Behind in the Cage)

[personal profile] cluelesscavewoman 2017-12-22 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Judge. Due to Lord Motonobu's death and the destruction of Mikawa the Testament Union called for the execution of his daughter. We contested it due to the circumstances.

[Like, her not knowing she was his daughter, or that her soul got used to make weapons.]
purrtagonist: (I’m trying to listen to the flavour!)

[personal profile] purrtagonist 2017-12-22 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[YOUR WORLD IS INSANE, FUTAYO]

And a war broke out from that conflict?

[. . . ha]

Can you tell me more about the Testament Union itself?
cluelesscavewoman: (Commandos In Town)

[personal profile] cluelesscavewoman 2017-12-23 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
[ISN'T IT A SHAME THAT THE ENCYCLOPEDIA ON IT GOT DESTROYED?]

Judge...

We do not know much about them. They mostly stay out of disputes unless it affects the recreation. They have yet to act on what happened. The ship of one of the groups they are allied with passed us that night. They evaded notice until the last moment, then announced themselves by showing their strongest...
purrtagonist: (no offense but when can I kill something)

[personal profile] purrtagonist 2017-12-23 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
[that is only like 50% his fault]

But you're at war with the countries that follow it.

[frowns, and rubs his head]

Politics. . .
cluelesscavewoman: (Performers from the Wings of the Stage)

[personal profile] cluelesscavewoman 2017-12-23 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
Jud...I do not like negotiations. They are like the rules of this place. [Nods.]

...What is it like where you are from? If you do not have anything like the Testament Union?
purrtagonist: full of blood (I return back to camp with the coconut)

[personal profile] purrtagonist 2017-12-23 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
I like them when both parties are on equal terms. This place. . . it's different.

[HE HATES THE RULES OF THIS PLACE!!]

[he also pauses at her question, unsure how to answer it beyond saying, like. "it's normal"]

It isn't very exciting. I live in a big city, with a lot of people. I go to school, I've made friends, I work a few part-time jobs. . . it's all pretty. [waves a hand] Normal?
cluelesscavewoman: (Parting Ways in the Night Sky)

[personal profile] cluelesscavewoman 2017-12-23 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
[It's interesting to her and completely different to her idea of normal. So she stares.]

I have just started going to school again. I only have one friend in my class, but my master is there too. Maybe I should I should try yo get a job outside of my duties?
purrtagonist: (So can I nonlethally decapitate him)

[personal profile] purrtagonist 2017-12-23 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
[ha]

I don't see why not. It might be a nice break from the war.
