Day 7 - afternoon
[After the execution, there's... nothing. The raccoons exit the stage, and the rest of you are free to do the same. The only update on your tablet reads: "You've been good, so we're going to give you the rest of the day off!"]

[ If it had been anyone else, he would have turned his head and stayed laying there near Niles' door. But he couldn't find it in him to refuse McGonagall. Maybe it was the patient tone in her voice and not scolding him for throwing away his pride as a prince to grieve. Or maybe it's because he has little to no energy to put up a fight. ]
Can't feel any worse than I already do, but...
[he listens, even if the small gray-white dragon took his sweet time getting up on all fours. He'll even shift into human form again, so you will now see a white haired man in front of you, looking disheveled and drained.
Niles' cloak looked like a blanket on/around the small dragon, so after shifting... The cloak draped over his shoulders still looked big on him. ]

He has been my younger brother's retainer for a long time, but I only met him not too long after my brother ordered him to aid me in my battles to come. But he's someone I've come to want to protect with my life.
....And I couldn't even do that. For him or for my brother. [This last part was more to himself than to Minerva.]
