As long as it's just for practice... [Not that McGonagall believes you'd attack anyone with those, of course] There's a rather unusual amount of glitter on those weapons, though.

Judge, all of the weapons upstairs are covered in strange things. And they are not very high quality... [So far the glitter has probably hurt more than any of the weapons.]

It must be our captors' way to aggravate you and anyone else who can use weapons.

[From the sounds of that, even if there are wands in that storage, they'll be useless]

Why would they do that? Would it not make more sense for them to encourage people to use them? Also, it seems unfair to those who are unable to use them...

Just by leaving them available we are encouraged to use them.

What's the meaning of that term?

One that specializes in witchcraft and occult based magic.

[Because there are a lot more types of magic than that.]

[McGonagall folds her hands, earmarking the book she's reading and putting it aside]

I don't especialize in...occult based magic, but at this point I can't deny I'm a witch. My clothing makes it rather clear, unfortunately.

[The raccoons really need to be more considerate of some people wanting to keep their magic a secret]

Judge. Your clothes are similar to the witches I know of. [Mainly the hat.]

Was the implement you use to channel your magic taken as well.

It was. If I had my wand, we all would have left already. [McGonagall nods] If you ever find it please do not hesitate in bringing it to me, for all of our sakes.

Judge, what does it look like? The witches I know of use their broom and drawing tools to cast.

Nine inches and half, fir wood, with a core of dragon heartstring.

[Then, realizing such technical description may not be useful, she tries to think of an alternate way to describe it]

It's as thick as a pencil, with a handle. It resembles a conductor's baton.

Can you bring me Tonbokiri if you find it. It will identify itself and ask for me if you do. If it does not, the blade is 40cm and the shaft should be two meters. The ether gauge near the blade looks like a dragonfly.

[That's if they hadn't removed the extension mechanism, but the main section should be distinctive enough.]
