Day 9 - THANKSGARBAGE

[Did you have a good Trashmas? If you kept any of the gifts that you were given, you will find that the raccoons placed a single poop somewhere in your room. Let us not dwell on the origins of said poop. This is the only punishment for failing to regift your Trashmas gifts.]

[Today's morning announcements are as follows:]

Did you know that after Trashmas, which we regret not calling Shitscram, there's another sacred raccoon holiday? That's right, today is Thanksgarbage! It's the day you cook a big, huge, giant, enormous, humungous feast and we eat all the trash!

[OBNOXIOUS LAUGHTER ENSUES]

It would be totally fucked up to have a killing night after Thanksgarbage, so we're not gonna! Everybody can enjoy food comas in peace! Especially us!

[Should you venture to the kitchen, you'll find it's suddenly stocked with a wide variety of ingredients for all sorts of fall foods; not just the American Thanksgiving and/or pumpkin spice fare, but Japanese ones as well, such as eggplants, persimmons, nashi, kobocha, chestnuts, Japanese sweet potatoes, and everything you need to make oden.]

[Akechi is Too Busy looking after Will's dog to cook, as he will gladly tell anyone who tries to make him, though he does immediately head into the kitchen to snag treats for himself and the pup.

After that, he can be found in the greenhouse, idly throwing a ball while writing in his notebook, or rather, writing and then immediately scratching out whatever it was he just wrote.]

[Thankfully, Ichigo didn't wake up to poop in his room, because he managed to give away all of his gifts the day before. Smelly Crisis averted there!

Another good thing is that at least for today, they won't have to worry about someone landing up dead the next morning - something that should always be celebrated, because it means no one's fallen to their lust for blood or to whatever's written as a motive.

But the absolute best thing is the food that greets him when he walks into the kitchen, because he nearly sobs at seeing ingredients from home. IT'S ACTUAL FOOD GUYS HOLY SHIT???

So for a bit, you can find Ichigo in the kitchen, humming a little as he works to make a large serving of Kuri Kinton, humming a little under his breath. He's also wearing something much more casual today than his gray school uniform or his shinigami outfit, thankfully.

You can also find him in the Cafeteria, either testing out the glitter pens Ulaz gave him, writing what looks like actual poetry in public (holy shit) or see him and Akira off in a corner having a quiet and intense conversation for some reason, both of them looking sort of...furtive?

Later on in the day, he's easily found in the Gym, a broadsword with black holographic glitter all over it, practicing his swings - it's easy to see he has experience, but he's obviously isn't used to using this type of blade, overbalancing at times and giving a sharp 'tch' when he does.]

[ Speaking of practicing, Caius makes his way into the gym eventually, turning his gaze onto the orange- haired male. Ah, it is a familiar scene -- one he's witnessed with many trying to learn the similar weapon by practice.

It brings a melancholy smile briefly to his lips that fades like the changing leaves' color in fall.

He strides forward. ]

Not accustomed to using such a weapon?

[ Of a blade of that type, that is. ]

[Will has hidden himself away in one of the further classrooms and has the door shut. He is hoping to dodge any further cooking requests since it seems most of you don't know how to? How can this be that teenagers don't know how to cook? Lucy the hamster is scurrying about enjoying the freedom of the room which pulls a chuckle from Will every now and then.]

[the usual scent of Akira's coffee fills the kitchen this morning, only this time it seems to be mixed with a complimentary scent of curry spice. investigation reveals Akira hard at work simmering curry sauce on the stove. he's sober, well-rested, and wide awake for it being so damn early in the morning. huh. imagine that. you're free to interrupt, if you want! or ask him for a cup of coffee, which is much smoother and significantly less bitter than the stuff he's been serving for the past eight days]

[after that? well, other than chilling in the cafeteria with Ichigo for a while, you can find him in one of the empty classrooms, crafting what looks like lock picks out of art supplies, screws and wires pilfered from random areas in the school. the headphones of the MP3 player he never gave away during Trashmas are tucked over his ears, and every so often he bobs his head in time with the music as he works. he seems to be concentrating pretty hard!]

An early morning riser?

[ Caius' eyes flicker over to coffee -- he recognizes such a beverage. It's such a widely available beverage that it is easy to locate in many different timelines. ]

[McGonagall is at the fishing pond. She has managed to make a rather rustic fishing rod. She sits to a side of the pond, looking into the water. She's rather focused on the task, but that doesn't stop her from commenting once someone enters:]

Are these fishes real, or could they be more robots?

[She doesn't intend to cook the fishes or anything like that, she's just keeping herself busy.

All that food in the kitchen is rather nice, and almost brings memories of the Hogwarts feast -- if it was much smaller, that is. Still...she once again starts cooking. This time she's making pumpking juice, like the juice available at Hogwarts]

The fact all this food is available is strange...could they have ulterior motives?

[They as in the raccoons, of course. Not that this will stop her from making pumpkin juice, although she'll definitely try it before anyone else, just in case]

[If you are in the kitchen, hope you don't mind a small dragon watching you from his sport perched somewhere out of your way as you prepare something with those goodies you find! Sitting/Loafing nearby like a cat as it observed people.

It was more enjoyable for Corrin to watch people cook (though he was mostly watching to learn something about cooking or two because really. With Jakob and Felicia, there was little chance to ever learn...)

Try to offer the creature some food and it might turn its head. Might need a little persistence to convince it... Especially with how lethargic he looks at this point.

That or feel free to find Corrin heading for the shrine with chestnuts that weren't used. or already putting his offering there! (One might notice he's awfully lethargic at this point, though...)]

[Rin is a fantastic cook, so he will be making a delicious breakfast. No, really, he's pretty awesome at cooking, so it's gonna be great.

But he puts a small bit of it on a tiny plate and slides it over to Corrin.]

[ Illya is staying far, far away from the kitchen, and anybody who makes her go is going to be immediately shut down. Talking about food and cooking makes her a little visibly upset for what may not be immediately obvious reasons, but she's around to be bothered.

She'll mostly be distracting herself in the rec room with some games trying to beat her high scores and looking a little listless, but she can also be found yelling early in the morning in her room before gaming happens. ]

[While Kaiba does keep to his regular rounds of dragon stalking and coffee procurement, today is Thanksgarbage, a special day for food and friendship. Not taking much stock in either, Kaiba can most likely be found in the maintenance or prop rooms scavenging parts, or later, in the science lab testing batteries and intently soldering circuit boards into something]

[ The kitchen is unsurprisingly busy today, and Shuichi doesn't really want to edge anyone out, despite the fact that that cooking has been his relaxing activity for the past few days. He'll linger and help out anyone who seems excited about it, or fill in any gaps in foods it seems like people want, but otherwise, he's staying out of the way in the cafeteria outside, reading a slightly charred book from the library, which he has apparently made a paper cover for.

Otherwise, you might find him in the gym, changed into a tracksuit and doing some pushups. (Does he really seem like the kind of guy for that...?) ]
