This is the last raccoon holiday for a while, so if you'd like a vacation from this murder game before the KILLING NIGHT, check your tablets! We'll even let you leave the campus, so you'd better praise our generosity!

[There's a new app on the tablets that cannot be removed. It will only activate when you are alone in your room, but click the cute carrot icon and you'll be given a simple prompt: "TAKE A VACATION?" with yes/no prompts. If you click "no," nothing happens; the app simply closes, ready for you to click on it again. But if you choose "yes," you'll become a bit lightheaded, and the next thing you know, you'll be back home. But not just any home: The home in which your murder carrot(s) (the best one, the newest one, or maybe even both of them? It's up to player discretion) has already been made reality. You'll be there for a full three hours before you're brought back to Nope's Peak, holding the tablet as if you never left. After that, the app will only say, "You know what to do."]

By the way, if it ain't obvious, that killing night is tonight! If you're thinking about doing a murder, rest assured: We will NOT let the dead mess up a trial like that again!

[In other news, the science lab has been restocked, and the raccoons made a HUGE mess eating out of the kitchen trash, like worse than usual.]

...There were a lot of people I wasn't able to save. But particularly... we were given motive videos, on our Monopads, and one of my friends...

[ His hands tighten slightly around his tablet and his eyes dart away. ]

He thought there was no one left for him. That there was no value to his life.

[ It does sound similar -- the whole 'being given motives on a electronic device' notion, and them having them in a setting like this.

The words the other male speaks of hang in his head, and they're familiar. Personally so, but spoken aloud instead of hidden. ]

Did he not consider you a friend as you did him? I'd believe you'd count as someone rather than no one.

[ Isn't that what "friends" are supposed to be? Someone who would support one another and be there for others? Even if it's been so long since he's entertained having any, he understands the general concept. ]

[ He flinches at that; it's clearly struck a nerve. ]

Ah... that's what I'd hoped. I mean, we hadn't known each other for long, it was just... a situation like this. But I thought I could have been that for him eventually. That... all of us could have.

[ Caius notices -- it's hard not to. If he were the man he were thousands of years ago, he knew he would've looked down upon this person that Shuichi had known with contempt. He had been a mortal warrior at one point, who very much valued his life, and wouldn't be able to understand why others would not, if they had support. ]

I assume, then, you attempted to befriend him -- along with some of your 'friends'?

Of course we did. We all tried to get along and escape together.

[ His lips tug upwards for a moment, before his expression settles into a neutral one.

He thinks for a moment that he could ask how he managed to escape, but then...what's the point? This has happened for a second time and may happen again. ]

Perhaps you'll be more fortunate in your efforts this time. Then again, who can say? If this has all happened before, and it is a cycle that merely continuously perpetuates itself, then even escaping from one at all in the first place is...

[ He scoffs and then decide he'll make his exit. ]
