This is the last raccoon holiday for a while, so if you'd like a vacation from this murder game before the KILLING NIGHT, check your tablets! We'll even let you leave the campus, so you'd better praise our generosity!

[There's a new app on the tablets that cannot be removed. It will only activate when you are alone in your room, but click the cute carrot icon and you'll be given a simple prompt: "TAKE A VACATION?" with yes/no prompts. If you click "no," nothing happens; the app simply closes, ready for you to click on it again. But if you choose "yes," you'll become a bit lightheaded, and the next thing you know, you'll be back home. But not just any home: The home in which your murder carrot(s) (the best one, the newest one, or maybe even both of them? It's up to player discretion) has already been made reality. You'll be there for a full three hours before you're brought back to Nope's Peak, holding the tablet as if you never left. After that, the app will only say, "You know what to do."]

By the way, if it ain't obvious, that killing night is tonight! If you're thinking about doing a murder, rest assured: We will NOT let the dead mess up a trial like that again!

[In other news, the science lab has been restocked, and the raccoons made a HUGE mess eating out of the kitchen trash, like worse than usual.]

Yeah. If there's one good thing that came out of the game I was in before... it's that I made some friends who really helped me out. Maybe that will be the same this time too.

Mm. And I'm sure that's part of the point too, but...

No doubt. Indeed, I feel as if I've said something very trite just now... but maybe it's just something that I'm understanding for the first time?

That's fine, then. I feel like a lot of important things can feel kind of trite and simple when you say them.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to say that it's simple. It's more like... something I'd ever experienced before. I'm independent by nature, so I need to be in a seriously dire situation before I'm ready to rely on others.

Mm... I've known some other people like that. But I wouldn't say I'm particularly reluctant to rely on people, and I've still gotten a lot more support than I've ever had before... and it's helped me to grow a lot.

...What happened to them? The ones who were like me. Did they survive?

Yes... and no. Harukawa-san is one of them; she let us support her eventually, though she still... acted on her own when she probably shouldn't have. Another one... he alienated himself from everyone. When finally let someone in on his plans, it was only when they were both... already dying. And some others... didn't really get the chance to find someone they trusted.

I see. That's a sobering thought.

...A lot of it was senseless, though. Almost all of us died. Even when we tried our best to work together, they forced the situation. It wasn't just 'adversity', it was... I don't know. Torture?

I wish... we could have come together in a way that meant more than that.

It's not any different here, is it? When we don't kill each other, they do it for us.

I guess so. The specifics are different, but it probably leads to the same thing in the end.

...It at least... draws it out longer, if only one person dies instead of two. There's more of a chance we'll find some sort of opportunity...
