[for a moment, his expression softens, the smile he gives slightly lopsided and not quite bright enough to reach his eyes]

[once they reach the kitchen though, he sets about to finding the tea strainer and the pot to boil some hot water. he has green tea leaves, so no kettle necessary!!]
