This is the last raccoon holiday for a while, so if you'd like a vacation from this murder game before the KILLING NIGHT, check your tablets! We'll even let you leave the campus, so you'd better praise our generosity!

[There's a new app on the tablets that cannot be removed. It will only activate when you are alone in your room, but click the cute carrot icon and you'll be given a simple prompt: "TAKE A VACATION?" with yes/no prompts. If you click "no," nothing happens; the app simply closes, ready for you to click on it again. But if you choose "yes," you'll become a bit lightheaded, and the next thing you know, you'll be back home. But not just any home: The home in which your murder carrot(s) (the best one, the newest one, or maybe even both of them? It's up to player discretion) has already been made reality. You'll be there for a full three hours before you're brought back to Nope's Peak, holding the tablet as if you never left. After that, the app will only say, "You know what to do."]

By the way, if it ain't obvious, that killing night is tonight! If you're thinking about doing a murder, rest assured: We will NOT let the dead mess up a trial like that again!

[In other news, the science lab has been restocked, and the raccoons made a HUGE mess eating out of the kitchen trash, like worse than usual.]

[ After those three hours are up and she's pulled back into this place - more specifically, she's in the cafeteria, holding onto the tablet and her fingers are trembling slightly before she drops the tablet onto the table.

Her eyes are poofy and the tears start to fall down the sides of her cheeks.

And almost as if she were a child - she's eighteen, mind you - she finds herself crying out, loudly, angrily: ]

No! No, no, no, no!! Don't show me this, why would you show me that — it's not possible for me to go back there and be happy with onii-chan, so why?!

[ Even though she completely knows the reason 'why'. ]

I don't want it! Just... just kill me now, already! Don't involve Shirou in this!

[a fuzzy head pops out of a nearby trash can]

To show you that it is possible. Anything is possible for us.

Anyway, if you want to die so bad, I'm sure somebody can help you out during the killing night! GEH-HEH-HEH!!

[ She wipes away her tears for a second and her expression and voice turns cold like ice. ]

Shut up. Is that all you have to say...?

[Ducks back down into the can]

He knows exactly how she feels, because what he was shown was also impossible. Masaki's soul was eaten by Gran Fisher, she can never come back in any way, shape or form -

And yet, he still remembers that warmth, the feeling of her wrapping him in a hug and the happy smiles of his complete family.

It doesn't take long before he's come over to her and tries to wrap her up in a hug, silently, trying to offer what comfort he can.

[ Illya doesn't say anything for the longest time; instead she just buries her head into his chest trying to hide any tears that still might be left over in her eyes eyes. They're already red enough, but it's with this action alone that they're becoming redder.

When she finally manages to catch herself, to say something, anything, she finally manages: ]

... I'm sorry.

[He just lets her hide her face away, hand gently rubbing at her back. It isn't like he hasn't done the same in the past few days, and with what they both just went through -

He doesn't like her wanting to die, but he does understand, speaking gently.]

You don't have to apologize, Illya. It's alright.

[His own eyes are red from crying, after all.]

How... do you know that it's going to be?

[ Her voice seems to crack slightly for a moment before she shifts and hops two steps away from him with a smile that doesn't show what's going on in her head. But there's something about it that seems rather sad. Perhaps even resigned. ]

But thank you, for comforting me. Are you okay, though? You didn't press that button too, did you?

I don't. But - I can hope it'll be.

[It's the most honest answer he can give, especially with his own emotions having been thrown through the wringer through his own vacation.

He hates hearing her so sad - and he nods, quietly.]

I did. It's alright - I'm over it now.

[He takes a seat, motioning her over to sit next to him at a table.]

They must really want us to kill each other, huh? If they're going to show us everything we ever wanted.

... It was real, though. Something similar to the Second Magic, I guess.

[ She makes motions before finally taking a few breaths and taking a seat next to him. She can still feel the warmth of someone in a world that's meant to be impossible.

No, it's not that it's impossible.

It's just that it's a world that isn't meant for this Illya. Fingers thread together and she honestly can't stop her trembling. ]

They do. But creating a miracle like that... I don't want it. Not like that. Shirou wouldn't forgive me if I killed someone just for something selfish.

...Magic can really do a lot in your world.

[It's more of a comment than anything else, considering what she's told him of her world's magic system.

He notices the trembling, and places a hand on her shoulder, letting her know he's here.]

Right. And I know she wouldn't want me to kill anyone for her, either.

[He'd already had that discussion with himself, on the night he and Atsuko explored together.]

It's called magic, however, because they're miracles that cannot be easily recreated. I can't do anything like the Second Magic. What I can do, normally, is simply magecraft.

[ Magic in her world is rather... complicated. ]

There's a lot it can do. A lot of really amazing things. But we're also limited, too.

Isn't that how it always is?

[There were things shinigami couldn't do, even though they were able to do so much and wield so much power.]

It makes me wonder how they're doing this, you know? What're they using? Not just to show us this, but block our own powers.

I don't know and I don't care. They probably wouldn't answer if we asked them, anyway.

[He sighs, leaning back in his chair.]

Will-san suggested they made us go on 'vacation' via implanted memories. Have you ever heard of anything like that?

[ How do you handle screaming children. Or screaming thirty-year-olds who look like children. Minako hands her a napkin. ]

Do you want a hug, or, uh... something to smash?

... I don't know.

[ She doesn't take the napkin; instead, she just blinks away her tears and wipes them with her sleeve. ]

[ ...What would Usagi do. Minako doesn't cry her own heart out enough to have the right instincts for this, she can sympathize because clearly Ilya's situation sucks but... yeah she's not a hug person. ]

Mine didn't offer me A- anyone back, but I'd be really pissed off if it had.

Well, it's not as if Shirou's dead... he's fine; alive and well, like he should be.

So this is more - a reminder that he's fine and alive and well even without you?

[ She might be projecting. She's sounding quite indignant on the behalf of one or both of them, anyway. ]

I am. I'm very well aware of it, since I caused my own death. But don't get me wrong, I didn't kill myself.

I know some magic people back home. Some of them've died after using their power to the fullest.

Mm... there are people who do that. Onii-chan almost died for that reason, until I saved him.
